Master of Science in Community Economic Development Online Degree Program
NCAF has launched a joint venture with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) to offer a Master of Science degree in Community Economic Development (CED) with a specialization in community action.
This 36-credit-hour online program allows working students to complete their master's degrees in only 18 months. Employees of NCAF affiliated agencies are eligible for a twenty-five percent (25%) discount on SNHU's already affordable tuition rates. Total tuition for NCAF students entering in the 2012-2013 academic year is $16,443, plus the cost of books. Additional financial assistance may be available.
Founded in 1982, SNHU's Community Economic Development program is the oldest degree program of its type in the nation. NCAF has built upon this strong foundation to create a program that specifically benefits community action professionals. The centerpiece of the NCAF SNHU program is the Foundations of Community Action course, which David Bradley developed and teaches.
All degree coursework is completed through an online delivery system, but a special agreement allows NCAF students the opportunity for face-to-face meetings with SNHU faculty members, including David Bradley, and fellow CED students from around the country.
For additional information about the program, financial aid opportunities, and an application, please visit the SNHU Community Economic Development website. When speaking to an SNHU admissions representative, mention your NCAF affiliation to establish your eligibility for the 25% tuition discount.
