Who we are:
NCAF is the federal advocate (501c4) for the national network of Community Action Agencies (CAAs).
NCAF was founded by CAAs in 1981 to prevent the dismantling of the CAA network.
NCAF's first initiative was the creation of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), which preserved the CAA network and the federal-to-local funding pipeline to mitigate the causes and conditions of poverty.
NCAF continues to advocate for opportunities for the national network of CAAs and is administered by a Board of Directors composed of local agency executive directors.
NCAF does not receive any federal funding.
